Victorian Tea
Sample sweet and savory treats as you sip cups of spiced tea and enjoy the Mansion adorned for the holidays with fresh greens and natural trimmings. Guests begin their visit with a self-guided tour of the holiday decorations and conclude with tea in the dining room. -
Clear Toy Candy Demonstration
, HarrisburgJoin us in the Mansion Summer Kitchen from 12:30 – 4:30 to learn about clear toy candy, see the molds, and meet the makers. One of the great traditions of Christmas in the 1800s was receiving a piece of three-dimensional clear toy candy. A selection of clear toy candy will be available for purchase. Admission to the demonstration is free. -
Open Hearth Cooking Demonstration
, HarrisburgStop by the summer kitchen at Fort Hunter’s Tavern House to see what’s cooking. Guests are invited to stop in and ask questions as guest cook, Audrey Trussell, prepares holiday treats (called receipts) from the 1800s over an open fire. -
Photography Contest Display
Visit the Olewine Nature Center to view and vote for your favorite photos! Take a tour of beautiful photographs from all of Dauphin County’s parks. Winners will be announced at the Photo Contest Reception on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Prizes will be awarded for winning entries. -

Holiday Concert – St. Thomas Dulcimer Society
, HarrisburgThe St. Thomas Dulcimer Society is returning to the Fort Hunter Centennial Barn on Wednesday, December 11th for their annual holiday concert! The Concert begins at 6:30 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Seats are first-come, first-served. -

Discover what birds visit our feeders most often and learn how to identify each one. On the second Saturday from November - April, join us in observing and counting common feeder birds as part of Project FeederWatch.
