Cat In The Hat Learning Series
, HarrisburgJoin a Naturalist for a fun interactive story session for children ages 3-5. Stories, rhymes, and a craft/activity will introduce science through the eyes of the Cat In The Hat. Classes are offered during 3 consecutive Wednesdays. This program is sponsored by Altrusa of South Central PA, providing a book for each participant. Each participant will go home with a theme-related book. Pre-registration required. -
Spring Wreath Workshop
, HarrisburgDecorate a spring wreath out of natural materials. Everything will be supplied to make a wreath with decorations from nature, including cones, nuts, and seed pods. Select from a variety of wreath bases including grape vines and wire frames. Participants may bring additional items and ribbon. After constructing a wreath, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while adding finishing touches. Space is limited. -
Bird Walk: Waterfowl and Early Spring Migrants – Park Rx
Meet Rick and Peggy Price in the South Parking Lot at the entrance to the Towpath Trail for this early migration bird walk. Expect a good diversity of waterfowl, some early songbird migrants, and a few lingering winter species. -

Weekly Wellness Walks
, HarrisburgEnjoy a moderately-paced walk around Wildwood Lake while enjoying the trees and animals at the park. This will be a walk on paved, gravel, and dirt surfaces. You can choose to walk only a portion, then turn around at any point if you would like to customize the length of your walk to your individual fitness goals. -
Art Heals: Bluebird Planter Workshop

Introduction to Birding
Join Rick and Peggy Price for an introductory course on birdwatching. Learn the basics with an indoor PowerPoint presentation followed by a short walk outdoors on the Delta Boardwalk to practice using binoculars and identifying bird calls. This program is geared for participants 16 years or older.
