Cat In The Hat Learning Series
, HarrisburgJoin a Naturalist for a fun interactive story session for children ages 3-5. Stories, rhymes, and a craft/activity will introduce science through the eyes of the Cat In The Hat. Classes are offered during 3 consecutive Wednesdays. This program is sponsored by Altrusa of South Central PA, providing a book for each participant. Each participant will go home with a theme-related book. Pre-registration required. -
Spring Wreath Workshop
, HarrisburgDecorate a spring wreath out of natural materials. Everything will be supplied to make a wreath with decorations from nature, including cones, nuts, and seed pods. Select from a variety of wreath bases including grape vines and wire frames. Participants may bring additional items and ribbon. After constructing a wreath, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while adding finishing touches. Space is limited. -
Bird Walk: Waterfowl and Early Spring Migrants – Park Rx
Meet Rick and Peggy Price in the South Parking Lot at the entrance to the Towpath Trail for this early migration bird walk. Expect a good diversity of waterfowl, some early songbird migrants, and a few lingering winter species. -

Art Heals: Bluebird Planter Workshop

Introduction to Birding
Join Rick and Peggy Price for an introductory course on birdwatching. Learn the basics with an indoor PowerPoint presentation followed by a short walk outdoors on the Delta Boardwalk to practice using binoculars and identifying bird calls. This program is geared for participants 16 years or older. -
Flower Walk: Earliest Bloomers – Park Rx
Join volunteer Jane Earle to seek out Skunk Cabbage along the North Boardwalk. Meet in front of the Nature Center. We may see other cold tolerant plants and anything left over from winter. Participants in attendance for any flower walk in 2025 will be entered into a raffle with the chance to win a wildflower-themed gift basket from the Nature Shop courtesy of the Friends of Wildwood. This program is part of the Park Rx series of programs sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield. Space is limited. Pre-registration required
